Who writes it
The knowledge base is produced by the EU·Now editorial team and published under the organisation rather than under individual bylines. EU·Now is an independent platform, operated by SanJeMi S.L.; it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to EPSO, the European Commission or any EU institution.
What counts as a source
Only primary, official material is citable: the Official Journal and the consolidated treaties on EUR-Lex, notices of competition, the Staff Regulations, EPSO’s own publications including its annual activity report, and the institutions’ own pages.
Commercial preparation books and certification guides are used, where they are useful, to understand how a subject is taught. They are never cited as authority for a fact, and no claim rests on them.
The gate every article passes
Nothing is published on the strength of a press report or of another preparation site. Where an article gives a figure, a threshold, a weighting or a deadline, that number is traced back to the official document it comes from, and the document is listed under Sources at the foot of the article.
When EPSO has not said something, the article says that EPSO has not said it. That is more useful to a candidate than a confident guess, and it is the difference between a knowledge base and a content farm.
Keeping it current
Competitions close, thresholds move and institutions reorganise their websites. An article carries an "updated" date only after a real review — never as a freshness signal on unchanged text.
Outbound links are checked periodically; when an official page disappears, the reference is repointed to its live equivalent or the link is removed rather than left pointing at an error page.
